Shipping Ports:
Port of Constanţa, Port of Mangalia, Port of Midia, and Port of Sulina are the ports of the country.
Age Restriction:
The Vehicles which are older than 8 Years are not allowed to be imported in the country.
Left-Hand Drive Vehicles:
Left Hand Drive Vehicles are allowed in the country.
Inspection
A Pre Shipment Inspection (PSI) in the country of origin is required. Vehicles imported by Diplomats are not subjected to PSI as they have cleared the vehicle with a Diplomatic Franchise at destination.
Documents Required:
- Original invoice of the car
- Original car documents (certificate of ownership) stating the technical specifications and the VIN (vehicle identification number)
- Bill of Lading
- Copy of passport
- Registration Certificate
Duties and Taxes:
- Origin of car outside the European Community: 30%
- VAT of 22% has to be paid.
