Shipping Ports:
The major shipping port in Paraguay is Puerto de Asuncion.
Age Restriction:
Vehicles over 10 years old and motorcycles over seven years old are prohibited.
Left-Hand Drive Vehicles:
Importation of left-hand drive vehicles is permitted in the country.
Documents Required:
- Original Certificate of Title and Registration
- Original Commercial/Purchase Invoice - notarized by Paraguayan consulate at origin
- Bill of Lading
- Pre-Shipment inspection Certificate (vehicle condition report)
- Veritas Verification Certificate
- Permanent Residence Permit or Paraguayan ID
Customs duty and taxes:
Vehicles are subject to import taxes and duties unless being imported by those with diplomatic status. Import taxes are 35-37% on the value assessed by Customs Authority.
