Shipping Ports:
Port Aktau is the principal port of the country.
Age Restriction:
Vehicles over five years are not allowed to be imported in the country. Volume of the engine must not exceed 3 liters.
Left-Hand Drive Vehicles:
Left Hand Drive vehicles are allowed to be import in the country.
Importing a Vehicle:
- Vehicles must be under five years old
- The vehicle's engine volume must not exceed three liters
- Any vehicle permitted entry must be for personal use only--sale is prohibited
- Import fees and duties must be paid in advance
Documents Required:
- Copy of Technical Passport / Certificate of Title
- Original proof of registration
- Commercial/purchase invoice
- Bill of Lading (BOL)
- Original Customs Declaration
- Pro-forma Invoice with vehicle details (chassis, engine number, production year, model, color and reasonable Customs value)
- Commitment Letter
Duties and Taxes:
- 5 years and older vehicles will be charge the duty rate will be Euro 4 per cc for engines of 1800cc-3000cc
- Customs duty on an engine of 3000cc will be Euro 12 000, with VAT standing at 12percent.
- For cars of 5 years and older vehicles with an engine of over 3000cc, the duty rate has been raised to Euro 5.8 per cubic centimeter.
- Customs duty on an engine of 4000cc will make up Euro 23 000, with VAT standing at 12percent.
