Port of Papeete is the only port in the country.

Left-Hand Drive Vehicles:

Left Hand Drive Vehicles are allowed to be import in the Country.

Documents Required:

Certificate of Title and Registration - must be original
Commercial/Purchase Invoice
Drivers License
Non Sale Certificate – declaration client will not sell vehicle
OBL - state chassis & engine number, cubic capacity, year of manufacture, brand and model

Duties and Taxes:

All vehicles are subject to duties and import taxes that are calculated by taking the vehicle’s value, model, year, size, and accessories. Currently, the owner of a vehicle that is being imported into French Polynesia will have to pay a 19.6% value-added tax (VAT).
